Phan Kim Oanh - Area Sale Manager from the South

Read Oanh's sharing
Why did Oanh decide to join Hilti?
Back to 7 years ago, Oanh chose Hilti at the first meeting because I was completely impressed the female boss who was very enthusiastic, professinal and ambitious. She introduced to me Hilti's quality solutions for construction projects. Up to now, I am still confident to stay and develop my career at Hilti Vietnam because of a special culture with many core values; specific career development policies; personal and family insurance policies. Additionally, the goals of each department always align with the common goals of the company.
In summary, I believe in the development of Hilti Vietnam as shared by Mr. Avin Kahn, Managing Director of Hilti Group during his visit to Vietnam in September 2023 "As long as you are patient and strive to develop every day, the group always believes and patiently waits for the outstanding development of you and Hilti Vietnam."
What motivates Oanh to switch from Marketing to Sales?
Being Area Sale Manager gives Oanh the opportunity to interact directly with customers on a daily basis. I love to share my knowledge on Hilti solutions and listen to feedback from them. Every meeting is an interesting experience with both happiness and sadness. Until now, I have not forgotten the sad feeling of losing my first big order when I was transferred to sales. Thanks to the sincere experiences & sharing from customers, I have become more mature and together with the company's brothers and sisters to build package solutions that are most suitable for the current market, especially Firestop.
How does Oanh promote a culture of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion with the team?
There is a huge diversity in my team, from age of profession, age of experience and gender, so each person will have different personalities and working styles. In the group, Oanh always tries to create conditions for everyone to be themselves, especially to develop their own talents. They have a playground to work while contributing ideas and implementing them.
Do you have any advice for women to develop a career in the construction industry?
This is my sharing for both male and female colleagues. Hilti operates in the construction industry, which is one of the most susceptible to economic and social changes. So your work will also have ups and downs. Therefore, I hope you will understand your strengths, determine your goals, and persistently pursue them. Always be ready to embrace new things that come naturally, be ready to take on any challenge to enrich your own career experience!
